An Evening with UK's Leading Lights in Digital Transformation

On 23 October 2017 over 30 organisations from the private, public and third sector gathered at the Royal Institute of Engineering in London for the UK NextGen Digital Challenge Award ceremony. These included shortlisted finalists who were hoping to receive winning recognition for their role in facilitating digital transformation in different areas of UK economy.

21c was delighted to be in attendance at this prestigous event. For the second year running, 21c Managing Director, Susie Ruston McAleer, was honoured by being invited to judge the awards.

In addition one of the finalist initiatives was #ask, a pan-European Erasmus project aimed at promoting dialogue between youth and decision-makers on Twitter, represented by 21c Consultancy who manages the UK pilot (please note for reasons of transparency and fairness, to avoid any bias, Susie did not judge this category). The project was competing with four other initiatives for Innovative Projects Award. In this category, the two winning solutions that appealed most to the judges were Fuse Digital Accelerator for Nonprofits (1st place) and JourneyPlus (2nd place). Although #ask did not win, 21c enjoyed the networking and was thrilled to exchange information and lessons learned with other projects.
