On 19 February 2016 a small group of SELECT project partners (Digipolis and Forum Virium Helsinki) arrived in London to discuss recent progress and next steps with 21c Managing Partner, Susie Ruston, and European Projects Manager, Laura Gavrilut. High on the agenda were preparations for Open Market Consultation which will begin in April 2016. SELECT is a Horizon 2020 project that is searching for new solutions to create a state-of-the-art, large-scale, citywide, ‘Internet-of-Everything platform’ to assist cities in developing, testing and validating innovative smart services and solutions. The new IoE platform is sought by using a Pre-Commercial Procurement (PCP) process that provides R&D funding to a number of suppliers to help develop innovative ideas.
