Julia was interviewed last summer by Business Quarters Yorkshire, following her discussion at the Intelligent Cities Conference and Expo. The event was hosted by the City of Bradford on the 15th of July 2014 and gathered 400+ cross-sector participants, including high-level policy makers and local, regional and national business leaders from around the country.
Throughout the article, Julia elaborates on her conception of the 'Smart City', which she argues is a city that uses ICT to tap into its single greatest asset: its citizens. “These days almost everyone has more computer technology built into their smartphone than the technology that sent man to the moon" Julia argues.
