Julia chaired an expert panel on eParticipation at the 25th Bled eConference last week, presenting Puzzled by Policy and Citadel on the Move as key examples of innovative citizen engagement. Invited speakers were asked to consider the continuing value of eParticipation as a way of engaging citizens during a recession. Other questions under discussion were enduring problems of citizen apathy, the new place of service co-creation in policy-making and the evolving relationship of citizens to their governments through social media.
